The Story: Deben House was the fourth property for Meanwhile Creative. It was our first foray out of BS1 as we ventured to the border of Old Market and Lawrence Hill in Bristol. The area had enjoyed a recent resurgence in interest, with exciting young businesses flocking to the district and it recently being voted one of the hippest neighbourhoods in the UK.
The building was formerly a YMCA training centre meaning it had the infrastructure in place for a professional and safe working environment. Tenants were encouraged to put their own mark on the building creating a colourful, creative workspace with ideas coming together in every way. There was a spacious break-out space on the ground floor with kitchen facilities and comfy seating.
