Meanwhile Creative transforms underused buildings and land into affordable, flexible workspaces for the UK’s creative community. From container parks and co-working hubs to studios, workshops, and boutique accommodation — we give artists, makers, freelancers, and start-ups the room they need to grow.

Founded in 2012, we started with one disused office block in Bristol. Today, we support hundreds of independent businesses across Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, and Norwich — offering everything from converted shipping containers to light-industrial units and fully kitted-out office spaces.

Our projects are as diverse as the people in them. Whether you’re screen-printing, storyboarding, tattooing, coding, or building a prop for a stage show — we’ve built a space for it. And if we haven’t yet, we’re working on it.

We’re proud to champion independence, creativity, and self-employment. All of our spaces are available on rolling monthly contracts with no hidden fees or long-term leases — just low-commitment, high-impact workspaces designed to support whatever you’re building next.

We don’t just provide space — we build creative communities. Across every Meanwhile site, you’ll find artists collaborating, start-ups scaling up, and makers sharing tools over a cup of tea. From murals and open studios to live music, our spaces reflect the energy and culture of the people inside them.
