Norwich, here we come! We’re thrilled to announce that the green light is on for St Saviours Yard, our brand-new creative hub in the heart of the city. This is the official start of work on site, and we couldn’t be more excited to join a city already brimming with talent, energy and ideas. 

Delivered in partnership with Norwich City Council, St Saviours Yard will build on the city’s already rich creative culture. From its bustling independent retail scene to its lively makers’ markets, galleries and packed cultural calendar, Norwich is a place where imagination thrives and community spirit runs deep. Together, we’re creating a home where local creatives, entrepreneurs and small businesses have the space, flexibility and support they need to bring their ideas to life.

A New Home for Creativity in Norwich

Just a short distance from the city centre, St Saviours Yard will become a lively home for artists, makers, retailers, therapists, small businesses and creative start-ups of all shapes and sizes. Imagine a place where a ceramicist fires work in one unit, a digital designer meets clients in another, and a food vendor serves lunch just across the yard  –  all in the same friendly, collaborative environment. That mix is what makes Meanwhile Creative spaces so special, and we can’t wait to see how it comes to life in Norwich.

The development will take shape in two phases. Phase one will introduce 60 fully insulated container studios, with a further 20 units arriving in phase two. These will come in 20ft and 40ft sizes, each one designed to be a blank canvas ready to adapt to your business or practice. Every unit will include lighting and plenty of plug sockets, with some offering running water and extra windows for natural light – small details that make a big difference when you’re spending hours creating.

Spaces Designed Around You

We know that no two creative journeys look the same, which is why flexibility is built into everything we do. Studios will be available on monthly rolling contracts, so you won’t be tied into long leases. Long daytime access means you can work to your own schedule, and we welcome shared or sublet arrangements for those who prefer to collaborate or keep costs down.

Mess-friendly uses are encouraged – in fact, we love them.
