Meanwhile in Bristol: The Best Bristolian Street Art This Summer
In Bristol we are spoiled for choice when it comes to street art. Especially in the weeks following Upfest, when many of North Street’s walls remain coated in colourful and outrageous designs. Just in case you haven’t had time to catch the designs yourself, we have rounded up our favourites.
One
Sadly our first choice was a temporary installment for Upfest. But worth a mention nonetheless.
Two
Chances are you will have seen this one on Facebook, if not on North Street itself. The mural was welcomed to Bristol with a real life Mr. Men meet and greet.

Three
Did you know that before Disney created the happy-ever-after films for its princesses, they featured in dark and disturbing original stories? This Bristolian mural is apt.
Four
So, we weren’t joking when we said Upfest is our best source of street art in the summer. This colourful patchwork Rhino appeared during the festival to remind us to look after endangered species.

This colourful artwork appeared on The Three Tuns pub earlier in the year. It’s another one that’s taken Instagram by storm.

This awesome piece is by Irony, and can be found on the Redpoint Climbing Centre. You can always count on them to have a breathtaking mural or two.

It doesn’t get much more Bristol than this one by Fin DAC. Balloons and Totterdown/Cliftonwood-esque houses. Another Upfest winner.

We think this one counts as street art. Plus it made us smile. Even if Vorderman has put her £2.3 million Bristol pad on the market.

We can always count on Stokes Croft for a galaxy print facade. And this time it’s a pastel one. Needless to say, this house has taken over Instagram.
