Not to long ago we ran a blog feature on six of our favourite independent shops in Bristol. It quickly became apparent that six entries weren’t nearly enough to summarise the Bristolian independent shopping scene, so here we are again with seven more.

1) Treasure

Not only is Treasure a super awesome boutique in Stokes Croft, it’s also a charity shop, raising funds for the local area. You’re sure to find something beautiful, AND you can support a good cause. Check out their website here.

2) Urban Fox

You’ll find Urban Fox on Corn Street. The shop contains an awesome collection of vintage clothes, and everything is one of a kind.

3) Scoopaway

Scoopaway is a health food store on Gloucester Road. They stock speciality and fresh foods, and natural remedies. They also have an eco-friendly scoop selection, so you can cut down on plastic packaging. Check out their website here.

4) Room 212

Also on Gloucester Road is Room 212. Room 212 is an art gallery and shop, full of the works of local artists. Owner, Sarah Thorpe, ensures both that the art is affordable and that the artists are making a living. Check out Room 212’s website here.

5) Bristol Wood Recycling Project

The Bristol Wood Recycling Project is tucked away behind Temple Meads. They are a not-for-profit organisation, focused on reducing waste and providing affordable timber to the local community. There are always some hidden gems to be found there, including up-cycled wooden furniture. Head to their website for more information.

6) The Reclaimers Reclamation

Again on Gloucester Road, you’ll find The Reclaimers Reclamation. Give yourself a lot of time if you plan on visiting, because there is a lot to see. From Victorian fireplaces to 1960s furniture – there is something for everyone.

7) Scrumptiously Sweet

Scrumptiously Sweet does as it says on the tin. They have an impressive selection of sweets, chocolate, fudge, and baking equipment. They’re not to be missed!
