Say Hello: Bristol Social Media

Bristol Social Media

Bristol social media experts Sean and Hanna recently collaborated to form Bristol Social Media. The duo will be providing social media consultancy services for businesses across the city. We welcomed them to Pithay studios less than a month ago – what better time to say hello?

Hanna grew up in Essex and Brighton before coming to Bristol. Throughout Sean’s adult life he has moved from place to place, never staying for longer than a year. The pair agrees that Bristol is the exception to the rule, and today they are happy to call the city home.

Before moving to Bristol, Hanna studied Marketing in Bournemouth University. This led her to work in account handling for a creative agency, though it wasn’t long before she felt something was missing.

Sean experienced similar feelings, after his study of Economics led to little opportunity where ethics were concerned.

For Hanna, a step in the right direction was running the social media for an environmental agency. Here she discovered her love for social media, and that she could incorporate her environmental interests into her work.Sean and Hanna-6

Sean began working as a self-employed social media consultant. In doing this, he could ensure he was working ethically and providing sound results.

Bringing the pair together is the next step in the story. Sean enjoys data mining and analytical thinking. Hanna enjoys developing strategies that keep up with the constantly evolving world of social media. Their shared interests in ethical and environmentally friendly approaches unite the pair.

They both agree that they love their work. Not only are they constantly learning from social media as it changes over time, they are also learning from their clients, who inspire ways of sustainable living. For example, after her work with an organic skincare range, Hanna has switched to vegan beauty products and organic food.

Bristol Social Media’s work concerns creating bespoke social media packages for a range of individuals and businesses. Whether this means providing a workshop for a team of staff, one-to-one tuition or taking over a business’ social media channels completely, they can provide it. Most importantly, they are honest in their approach. If they think their strategies are not a good match for your business, they will inform you of a suitable alternative.

One of Sean’s favourite projects is Big Green Week, Bristol’s annual festival of sustainability. He worked for the project last year and is looking forward to doing the same this summer. The motives of the Big Green Week resonate with Sean’s interests, and this reflects in his work for them. Sean also loves working for ethical finance projects. Having been previously disappointed in the cutthroat nature of economic projects, he has turned the situation around by using his economic skills in ethical ways.

Sean and Hanna-9 Hanna loves work that is visually oriented. One of her favourite projects has been working with an organic skincare range on Instagram and Twitter. Creating visuals for an agency that promotes wellness gave Hanna a sense of reward, and there were plenty of opportunities to attend blogger events in London.
