There is never a dull moment in Bristol. In fact, sometimes there is so much to do here it’s hard to decide at all. Thankfully, we’ve created a list of some weird and wonderful things to do in Bristol this season.
1) Grab a rainbow bagel for lunch.
Last month, the rainbow bagel blew up the internet. A bakery in New York began the trend early this year, and the internet took to the idea like a duck to water. Thankfully, you don’t need to fly to New York to experience the wonders of the rainbow bagel. Instead you can head to Bristol’s Stock Exchange Bakery. Though be warned, they sell out first thing.
2) Watch E.T., at night, in a cemetery.
Last Halloween, Arnos Vale’s screening of The Addams Family was a roaring success. So much so, that the late night cinema is returning this spring. For the youngsters and the easily scared, you can snuggle up in a sleeping bag under the stars and watch E.T. 3) Nosey at creative people’s windows.
Window Wonderland was born last year, thanks to a stroke of genius from Bristol resident Lucy Reeves Khan. Homeowners of an entire street will dress their windows to impress, with lights, art, sculpture, and sometimes live animals. There is always something new. We are then invited to take a leisurely stroll around their street after dusk. Find out the upcoming dates on their website.
4) Dress up as a Victorian and parade around Tyntesfield.
Tyntesfield lies a short bus ride away from Bristol’s centre. This spring, the Victorian atmosphere of Tyntesfield is made even greater by the presence of a crowd of Victorian actors. If you missed the opportunity to get tickets for their Christmas event, now you have another chance. Find the information at this Facebook event. Don’t worry, you don’t have to dress up.
5) Cycle around St Andrew’s Park with a boombox for their bike party.
If the summer naked bike ride isn’t your cup of tea, you don’t have to miss out. No less than 1,400 people have RSVP’d to the bike party event on Facebook. Cyclists, families, and people in need of some fun will be putting on their finest sparkly attire and riding around Bristol on a Saturday afternoon.
6) Take the kids for a tea party with Alice in Wonderland.
The magic of Disney comes to Bristol this spring, in the form of a Wonderland tea party. Children and adults will be entertained by five professional mascots, including Alice and Ariel. Find out more on this Facebook event. Check out the Bristol mascots!

7) Go to a sober rave at 6am.
