Freestone Studios is a 10,000 square foot warehouse and maker space in St Philips, an industrial area of Bristol.
Spaces range from 100-600 square feet and are perfect for artists, makers and creatives that need to do hands-on work and messier projects.
Launched in spring 2017, Freestone Studios is made up of two floors which are sub-divided into smaller, light industrial units with simple walls made from OSB.
The warehouse forms part of a larger site which also includes another Meanwhile Creative project, Kingsland Studios.
Together they form one of Bristol’s largest creative workspaces with dozens of studios, offices and workshops providing space for hundreds of people.
Entry to the building is with a key code. Each studio has either a lock and key or a key code.
The ground floor has a loading bay which can be used for 15 minutes at a time.
There is no lift up to the first floor, but the stairwell is wide.
Freestone Studios is just off Gas Lane, tucked behind Bristol Temple Meads near to Motion Skate Park. Just a mile from the M32 and less to the Bath and Wells roads, the site is well placed for coming in and out of Bristol from both the north and south.
