Business has been thriving for Bridge and Stitch, who help clothing companies to manufacture from the UK. In January Bridge and Stitch celebrated their fourth birthday, and what better way to celebrate than joining us in Pithay Studios? We called in to say hello.

Rachel Hobbs founded Bridge and Stitch in 2012. Today, the company has grown to four employees and is a popular work placement destination for students.

Back in 2009, Rachel was a fashion design graduate, trying to fit in to the world of high-street design. She found the career to be unfulfilling, and decided to do something about it.

“I began working with local clothing companies, and recognized that they were struggling to find suitable manufacturing.”

Rachel crafted a gateway between small clothing companies and factories across the UK. She took care of every detail from design to production. From this, Bridge and Stitch began.

“The most rewarding part of my job is being able to make our clients dreams become a reality. It’s a great privilege to know we have had a role in the success of their brand.”

One of Bridge and Stitch’s projects this year has been assisting the production of Grass – Fields, a woman’s clothing line with an African twist.
