Kate Wood Jewellery

back to directory

Kate Wood makes contemporary beaded and chain work jewellery which is admired for its delicacy, intricately detailed finish and lightness of touch.

After 5 years at award-winning creative hub Cockpit Arts in London's Holborn, Kate made the move to Bristol and a studio space at Meanwhile Creative's Deben House. You can find her jewellery in a number of wonderful galleries and boutiques in the UK and abroad.

The subtle, harmonious shapes of Kate’s beaded designs take their cue from natural forms and textures, and incorporate her love of beautiful gemstones and vintage glamour. Each piece is meticulously constructed by hand from multiple tiny beads, which are wrapped and ‘woven’ onto chains with hand-made silver pins.

Kate's latest collection, 'Talisman', explores chain work techniques to create a tactile, fabric-like structure reminiscent of crochet or lace, which glints in the light.

For those looking for something truly unique, she welcomes commissions and loves to work with clients to create a special, bespoke piece of jewellery.
